Advanced Gynaecology Ultrasound

The Advanced Gynaecology Ultrasound course is designed for current ultrasound practitioners aiming to elevate their expertise. The course offers access to pre-course material, which provides foundational knowledge through pre-recorded talks, ensuring participants are well-prepared before diving into more complex topics. The first part of the course, delivered online, covers subjects presented by leading experts, with a panel discussion and live Q&A session.

Gynaecology Ultrasound

The aim of this 15 credit Gynaecological Ultrasound module is to develop safe and competent practitioner equipped with knowledge, critical understanding and professional skills for participation in an effective gynaecological ultrasound imaging service.

British Medical Ultrasound Society

BMUS run a varied programme of ultrasound study days and courses throughout the year. These are spread across the country and differ from year to year in terms of speciality topic, although they have a course on Gynaecology run on an annual basis. These courses all carry BMUS CPD points

Ultrasound in Early Pregnancy Assessment

This module has been designed for sonographers, nurses, midwifes, or obstetrician and gynaecologists who provide routine and emergency early pregnancy assessment services. The module focuses on development of competence in a broad range of first trimester ultrasound referrals. This includes recognition and interpretation of ultrasound appearances of normal and high risk pregnancies and the assessment of early pregnancy complications.

AEPU Trainee Education Working Group

We are excited to open applications to join the AEPU Trainee Education Working Group.

Following the approval of our educational curriculum by the AEPU executive committee, we now anticipate this will form the basis of content development that will improve early pregnancy training for trainees and associated healthcare professionals. The deadline for applications is the 3rd April 2026.
